Located in the beautiful Catskill Mountains of Upstate New York, Pine Crest Farm Camp provides a warm, caring environment in a 'country setting' for children with cancer (and their parents) to participate in sporting and social activities designed to accommodate the child's abilities, limitations and desires.
We provide a safe, stress-free environment for the campers and their parents allowing them to interact with other children and families facing similar life-changing medical situations. (Cancer or other hematological diseases)
Our camp is unique in that it makes a difference in the lives of children and families who really need an emotional getaway. Please open your hearts to help our children and donate today.
Richard Michael Boeshore (Ricky), the second of five children born to Lilly and Bob Boeshore, grew up in the South Park community on Long Island, New York.
Since he was young, Ricky has always donated his time and talents to helping others in his community. Ricky made a career out of the New York City Police department and while serving and protecting others, he continued volunteering in the church and community.
Ricky was inspired to start Pine Crest Farm Camp for kids with cancer as a result of losing his sister Lisa to bone cancer. He saw stress that consumes a family during hard times and he wished to create a place where worries could be forgotten.
Ricky was recently selected as one of USA Network's Characters Unite Award winners for his dedication to his community and to the development of Pine Crest Farm Camp.
The mission of Pine Crest Farm Camp is to provide an atmosphere where families affected by cancer can let go of their worries and focus on making memories with the ones they love.
